My daughter is starting Kindergarten this year.  I look at her in her pretty school dress and new school shoes, hair all brushed and pulled back, all excited to learn to read, and this is what I see:

  1. The day she graduates from high school, gets married, has her first child … on all of those days that smiling face will be your baby’s. They are pretty wonderful.

  2. Been there, twice. It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it. My oldest son is in 7th grade this year, has hair past his shoulders and aspirations to be a rock god but what I see is an 18 month old pretending to rock out on his Elmo guitar.
